With LocalMonero shutting down after everything, how the F$%& are we supposed to get large amounts of XMR without raising a reg flag? : CafeDread | Torhoo darknet markets

I know it's easy for people buying an onuce at a time.

The large buyers among us, and I'm sure many vendors, need new advice now about how to keep safe.

EDIT: Thanks for all the advice everyone! I'll buy litecoin and swap it for XMR.

Buy bitcoin with cash, or utilize different accounts to buy bitcoin in small increments, then exchange it all for monero. It's very, very, very, simple.

Use a non custodial wallet. Not your keys, not your coins.

I WOULD HIGHLY suggest Having 0 to do with Coinbase! The exchange or even the Wallet.
You already Mention Cake Wallet, Feather Wallet is good! It Only holds XMR though.

I have had Feather added to my Tails for Along time now. If you have not checked that Out, Id give it a Look. There's No Phone App for it though.
I'm not at home Where my Info is, But I've got a few more id be glad to add that I have personally used or Use. Most are XMR only Wallet's though.

I dnt know if your Looking for a Multi coin self custodial wallet or just a XMR wallet.

At this Point Anyone that has not been focused on having Good Opsec, Now is the time for more than ever to Upgrade your Opsec! In everyway!

FOR MOST THIS DOES NOT NEED TO BE SAID! BUT.... ALWAYS use a NONcustodial Wallet!
and Instead of just downloading TOR to your Laptop/PC- MAKE A TAILS USB!

Don't Use your regular everday computer for Tails-Tor etc. Buy a Cheap, decent working Computer/Laptop and Set it up to be dedicated Only for 1 Use!

I know you didn't ask for a post other than about wallet suggestions, But I felt this all need to be said (Not directly to you) Im just writing this for Any and everyone!

with all that said.. Let me know if you are wanting XMR only Wallet Suggestions or A wallet That excepts several Coins(Kinda Like Cake's Wallet)

Stay Safe and Its always best to DYOR!

Never, ever, ever use coinbase.

Just use feather and electrum. No reason to ever tie to an account. Buy crypto with cash, swap it to monero.

mymonero wallet, developed by one of the developers of monero. I think you'd enjoy it, offers exchanging your monero for bitcoin.

Litecoin is better, much cheaper transfer fees and much faster.

I agree ! Trading LTC is much cheaper and Faster to Swap! There's several spots that dnt require any registration or anything to swap.
Yes, Cake is a Decent Option However there is other's also. I have some places writtin down in a Journal type Book. A few Saved on Bookmarks on a Old Android I never use.

There's Options out there though! When I get home and have access to My Info, I'll Post a few on here that I have personally used and had no issues + A few spots I haven't used (Yet) And have great reviews ,Feedback from the Monero/Privacy Community on other places I chat with other's who are Privacy/Opsec Focused.

I'm really kinda hesitant to Post any Names of Places to Swap on these forums simple cause we know there are PPL/ Undercovers etc that are Lurking trying to get as much info as possible!

Swapping BTC for XMR is just IMO to damn Expensive !

i just realized some of this comment I meant to make for the OP, But O well. It will be read.

I mean just swap other cryptos for xmr, why is that such a foreign concept to you people?

Because I don't want the exchange to know I'm buying large amounts of Monero on a regular basis.

What exchange? Just use an anonymous swapping service like troc.

Buy crypto for cash. If you are big balling it, you shouldn't have a problem finding a seller for large amounts of crypto.

buy bitcoin and exchange it into monero on zat.io

I'm not going to Lie, I dnt think Ive used or ran across Zat .io. I will definitelycheck it out.

I honestly Hate swapping BTC for Monero, Simply cause The time BTC takes is SLOW, The Fee's etc.

I prefer Swapping LTC , I know Many only Except to swap BTC>XMR though. I prefer Swap sites that don't request ANY Type info.

There's a Few that I have used that only require an Email, for any Swap sites that ask for an Email, I just either use a 10min Disposable while on Tor or behind a VPN
(Depending if Im Home or not & What Device Am On)
I just create an Email to use Only for that 1 Place. I've got A ton Of Tuta Email's lol.

Sorry for getting off track a Bit. Ima check out that Place you Mentioned & then will Post a few spots That Many, May or Might not be aware of to help.

Most coin shops sell Monero for cash. Not sure if those transactions are subject to the $600 reporting rule like gold and silver are though. Owners are often of the Libertarian type and do their best to avoid taxes.

Some local monero vendors do direct deals so id build some reputation with them.

Options:
1. Buying Litecoin (because BTC transaction fees suck) on a KYC exchange, swap via the many non kyc exchanges into XMR. Keep some of the LTC for plausible deniability "you are a HODLer". And when they ask about the difference in buys and balance, duh I lost one of my wallets USB sticks. It was good for me when crypto was low, now not so much when crypto are near all time highs. Crypto will fall again and that method will be useful. Only for low value trades.
2. Buying LTC using fake KYC, smooth operator. Swap into XMR and rent the yacht in Ibiza with your hoes.
3. There will be many new cash -> XMR startups to fill the gap left by localmonero retiring. Wait and see.

The general trend is for governments to stop anonymous crypto buying, it will not stop that market and I am confident there will be solutions by people smarter than me.

Don't you see the market left by the exit of the localmonero? And previously localbitcoin and some others did the same exit because they saw the gov and lea task to stop anonymous crypto buying and deanonymize crypto entry.
I could say more but it would be a long post and I am tired.

The cash by mail vendors will still sell to you after the website closes, it will just be without escrow

Alternatively use localcoinswap for a no KYC exchange
