Wonders with different points regarding Tor´s nature : Tor | Torhoo darknet markets

hello everyone.

I was wondering what is actually TOR. I know how it works, and how it covers your info when navigating.

however, I would like to dive a bit deeper into it. what are exactly .onion webs? are they hosted by tor? why are they only accessible on tor? until what extent is everything anonymous? does a .onion web and a normal one have any differences?

I know there are so many questions. I would really appreciate some orientation/help with the topic. thank you so much in advance!

These are the basic things that are easy to find.

A .onion is similar to .com from except only available on the Tor network. Services are hosted on servers just like any other website/service. Everything should be anonymous if you stay on the Tor network (only use .onion). Using non-onion services from Tor has it's flaws that could get you deanonymized.
