Never a good idea. Especially when spending on the DN. Just follow instructions in the sticky for the latest release. Use TAILS, & use a public TOR node for the GUI.

If you don't want to download the entire blockchain you should install MoneroGUI and just use a public node. Using an online wallet is like buying a safe and giving the delivery guy the keys
